Come and discover the South of France as you’ve never seen it before! Here’s a short summary of outdoor sports in Occitanie, where you can immerse yourself in wild, unspoilt nature .

The diversity of outdoor sports in Occitania!

April is fast approaching, so the March rains will have plenty to fill our canyons and beautify the local vegetation. If the saying goes, don’t lose your head in April, then in Occitanie we’re lucky enough to be able to deviate from it a little.

With more than enough sunshine every year, outdoor sports in Occitanie are numerous and varied.

Occitanie’ s coastal fringe is therefore 200 km long and crosses 4 départements. The coastline has been adapted to develop tourism. Water sports such as windsurfing, kite-surfing and sailboating are a big hit with locals and fans alike . Good weather and a constant wind all year round are the perfect conditions for these sports.

Outdoor activities in the lands of Occitania :

-Numerous mountain bike circuits of all kinds, with a particular soft spot for our local circuit around Lac du Salagou. The red earth called “la ruffe” and the blue water of the Lac de Salagou will not leave you indifferent.

-From climbing long routes, sport routes or bouldering. Our favorite spots are in the Hérault region. Le Caroux, Saint Bauzille de Putois, Saint Guilhem le désert, le Joncas and saint bauzille de Montmel for a gentle introduction.

Paragliding for the more adventurous. There are several take-off sites in the region. There’s the Pic du Vissou site, the Séranne site, and of course the Brunas and Puncho d’agast sites in Millau.

Canyoning and via ferrata in the Hérault department.

Our favourite spring spots: Le canyon du rec grand in Caroux, le canyon du diable in St Guilhem le désert and via ferrata du Thaurac in st Bauzille de Putois!
