Original ideas for sports activities EVG or EVJF :

Supervising sports activities for EVGs and EVJFs is becoming increasingly popular. If there’s a strong craze among future brides and grooms for outdoor activities, it’s because they’re often unforgettable. We’ll suggest three key activities, depending on the season and your level of fitness and motivation.

Via-ferrata activity :

It’s an activity that can be enjoyed all year round, except on rainy days. The physical level required is accessible to all. The via-ferrata allows you to climb vertically up a rock face using rungs and a safety cable that follows you all the way. It’s made fun with aerial passages such as monkey bridges, Nepalese bridges and zip lines.

The via-ferrata at Thaurac, for example, is exceptional and of particular interest as an EVG or EVJF. On the course, you can take part in an incredible pendulum jump. It’s a gigantic swing where you throw yourself from 30 m off the ground onto a 20 m pendulum. Spectacular, and a lot of fun to watch! Some groups have already brought us their groomsmen blindfolded!

Another example of a via-ferrata in the region not to be missed is the one on the Vidourle near Saint-Sériès. For further information , click here.

EVG sport activity, Canyoning:

Canyoning takes place when the weather is fine! Weather permitting, the first outings take place in April-May and finish in October. For watery sensations, with a strong flow of water, give preference to the pre-summer season. This means spring, when we have a wider choice of canyons. Here are two pre-season canyons: Le canyon du ravin des arcs near Montpellier and Les cascades d’Orgon in the Cévennes. In the former, you’ll find a large zip line, jumps of varying heights (8m) and a beautiful abseil in the ravine arch. In the Cascades d’Orgon you’ll find a surprise of a size that’s rare in the region. A natural ejector slide 4 m high, various jumps and other workshops.

In summer, we recommend the canyon du Diable near Saint Guilhem le désert or the canyon du Rec grand in the Caroux near Mons la trivalle. Depending on which canyon you choose, physical accessibility will be more or less obvious. The canyon du diable, Rec grand and ravin des arcs will be more accessible than the cascades d’Orgon.

Hiking activity :

We’re taking you for a full day to the highest point in our region: Le Pic Saint Loup. This is the activity that will require the most motivation and physical commitment! So don’t plan to party too hard the night before, but rather after this extraordinary day. The warm-up begins with an hour-long approach walk dotted with easy, aerial climbs. Once at the top, it’s picnic time with breathtaking views! You’ll then tackle the descent of the North face in 5 successive abseils, including a 50 m abseil on a spider’s thread (3 to 4 hours of descent). This activity is for the most motivated and requires a certain amount of concentration. But thrills guaranteed!
