Climbing Hérault
Get some height?
Naturéo Sport & Aventure offers you climbing outings in the Hérault.
The region is a godsend for climbers eager to learn and perfect their skills. Within a 50km radius, you’ll find a dozen or so sites with a wide variety of climbing styles and geographical exposure (Hortus grande voie south face, Pic Saint-Loup grande voie north face…), St Bauzille de Montmel southern cliffs, Thaurac cliffs with all exposures…).
The art of moving on cliffs is achieved using only natural holds the wall has to offer. We set up themed sessions according to the level and desire of each participant. Come and try your hand at this fantastic half-day activity at our various natural sites.
We offer introductory climbing courses on roped walls in the Hérault region, including belaying techniques and, if required, route setting as a lead climber. Depending on your level and location, we’ll guide you to a particular sector.
Another possible variation on climbing: bouldering in the forest. This activity takes place on rocks up to 3 or 4 m high, without ropes but with crash pads and parrying techniques.
For more advanced climbers, our guide can take you on a full day’s ascent of a major route over 100m high. You’ll also be able to learn how to set a mechanical wedge for your first experience of adventure terrain. Visit Massif du Caroux is the ideal playground for gentle training in this discipline. Atmosphere guaranteed !
