Canyoning near Montpellier: The Devil’s Canyon, accessible to all, full of wonderful surprises!
The canyon du diable in the heart of the Hérault gorges is a geological wonder. It’s a quiet place in the middle of the canyon. It is reserved and accessible only to those who practice canyoning with our guides!
This canyon is a pure condensation of fun workshops over a 2h30 descent.
An aquatic canyon…
You’ll be able to try your hand at floating as the main attraction of this canyon is its strong water flow. It’s a real treat to let yourself be carried along by the current with your legs out in front. This allows us to cover hundreds of meters without forcing ourselves. Your arms act as a rudder, and the sensation of gliding over the water is just enormous!

Canyoning near Montpellier, the canyon du diable and its many floating passages. Let the water carry you along in the starfish position!
A canyon where you can play with the verticality of the limestone rocks.
One of the great advantages of this canyon is that you can play with the left or right banks with fun and playful workshops. There are jumps (up to 9 m, not compulsory), “splash” zip lines and a magnificent 15 m abseiling sensation. (Also not compulsory).
Here are a few examples!
The Tyrolean traverse: one carabiner… then two… on the taut rope… and fire… a great leap into the void that ends in the 20-degree water of the Hérault!

Canyoning near Montpellier: The many jumps in Devil’s Canyon…
This aquatic canyon is a godsend for those wishing to learn how to jump and manage their balance in the air. This canyon is a real jumping school. You’ll be able to find your limits under the expert guidance of your guide.
No one jumps a 6 m jump without having perfectly completed the first 2 m and 4 m stops.
We recommend that you take off with your strong foot and not with your foot together. The aerial phase should be maintained with the arms outstretched to keep your balance. This also ensures a better glide through the air. Finally, you enter the water with your legs straight, sheathing your whole body. So you need to penetrate the water, not the other way around. The mistake to avoid at all costs is to arrive sitting on your buttocks. All the shock of the impact will be reflected in your back. So we want to enter the water with as little impact on your body as possible.
Your guide will then guide you on the very first jumps to correct your position. We’ll make sure you come out of the canyon with your body in the air.

Take-off position for a 7 m jump!
