Canyoning in the Cévennes

Canyoning trip in the Cévennes : Here’s a presentation of our latest innovation: a partnership with the “par 4 chemins” association. The result is a superb trip scheduled for June, from the 10th to the 12th to be precise !

This project is the result of a great encounter via the Occigène network and a good feeling between the managers of the two partner structures!

The hiking section is run by the “Par 4 chemins” association.

The Par 4 Chemins association organizes and supervises itinerant hiking holidays in Occitania for everyone.

Rafaelle, a mountain guide, will give you an extraordinary experience and share her passion for her native region!

Two days of hiking plus a day of canyoning on Rafaelle’s itinerary!

Here’s the program:

D1 Le Vigan – Gîte Cap de Coste, 10 km and 1000 m D+
A day of sporty hiking towards the Col des Mourèzes. The
picnic break is an opportunity to get to know each other. Finally we
reach the Toureille greenhouse and its magnificent panorama before
joining the Cap de Coste gîte. A beautiful evening awaits us, with the arrival of a
herd of Sumène cattle in full transhumance!

D2 Tour to Cascades d’Orgon, Pic de Barette and the tomb of André
Chamson, approx. 11 km and 450 m D+
Another day of hiking (with less climbing), our trail
takes us to the tomb of André Chamson, to the summit of Pic de
Barrette and its viewpoint, and finally to the splendid Cascades d’Orgon.

D3 Approach walk and Cascades d’Orgon canyon
On this last day, we meet up with Toulouse, our canyoning instructor. After
a short approach walk (approx. 1 hr), we begin our descent of the Cascades d’Orgon.
