Description
Once the group is complete, you’ll follow your guide by car for 15min to the canyon parking lot, where you’ll be provided with specific equipment (neoprene wetsuit, harness, helmet, bag with waterproof canister).
A 45-minute walk under the chestnut trees will bring you to the crystal-clear water basins at the start. The Vialais canyoning activity is rich in workshops: swimming in biefs, rather technical water abseiling as well as a few jumps. What makes this canyon so special is its wild and sporty character. It’s a great way to immerse yourself in the Caroux, combining sporty walking and aquatic activities.
The return to the cars is via a footpath, an old-fashioned itinerary created by the local inhabitants who lived off the chestnut harvest. The return journey takes about 50 minutes at a brisk pace.
Near Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, the Canyon du Diable is ideal for an outdoor outing with family or friends.
